Lewis Hamilton has been on top form this season, but since the sprint race in Brazil the seven-time world champion seems to have been unleashed. Toto Wolff agrees and says last week's disqualification has actually made his British driver even stronger than he already was.

"They really awoke the lion in him on that Saturday at Interlagos. He's completely on fire, bold, cool. This is really Lewis at his best, we've seen it in the past too," Wolff is quoted as saying by Motorsport.com. Hamilton himself says that physically he has never been so fit.

Resilience Hamilton

The mental resilience Hamilton shows is almost repulsive according to Wolff. "When Lewis faces adversity, it brings him to the point where he can really turn on his superpowers. It's the setback at Interlagos that has triggered it in him," said the 49-year-old Austrian.

The season now has two more races, a double-header in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi respectively. There Hamilton and Max Verstappen will battle it out to decide who will be the world champion of 2021.
