Mick Schumacher is going to make his (official) debut in Formula 1, the German branch of RTL announces Wednesday afternoon. The Formula 2 driver will make his appearance during the first free practice, but it is not yet clear which team this will be with.
Schumacher will most likely spend an hour and a half in action for Haas F1 or Alfa Romeo Racing. These two teams drive with Ferrari engines and the Italians have agreed that their own juniors will be given the opportunity to make the necessary kilometres a few times a season.
The son of Michael Schumacher has a good season in Formula 2. Whereas last year he had a particularly tough time in the step-up class, he is currently runner-up in the World Championship. Prema's driver only has to close a gap of six points to list leader Callum Illot. Before that, the German has three more weekends.
There is a chance that the 22-year-old driver will be driving in Formula 1 next year. At Alfa Romeo they could very well say goodbye to Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi and at Haas F1 rumours are also seeping through that they want to get rid of Romain Grosjean and/or Kevin Magnussen.
Anything goes, it is Schumacher.... What no Peroni, Rosberg, Alesi, Raikkonen, PIquet, Mansell, Hill, Hakkinen, Prost... I suppose their kiddies are girls or not into motor sport then lol
I'm almost certain that Graham Hill and Keke Rosberg had formula One son drivers who won a few races ??? Piquet's son has raced in F1 for Renault. Alesi currently has his son in F2. Damon Hill and Alain Prost's son's both raced to a reasonable level but did not make it to F1. Raikkonen's kids are 3 and 5 and the 5 year old is already Karting. That leaves us Hakkinen as the only candidate who kiddies are not into Motorsport. So yes, I suppose all theor
Hope so too. He hasn't exactly been lighting up the timesheets in F2. Sometimes a change of scenary does help.
I've noticed that as well. Maybe we expecting a 'Michael' in this kid.? I'm just gonna let things play out and see how it goes..
Awesome would be fantastic to seeing that famous name once again lining up the grid. Defo no adoption there he's the image of his dad.
