Lando Norris was voted Driver of the Day by Formula 1 fans worldwide, but which driver did GPblog readers think stood out on Sunday? Was it Norris, or did Max Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, or even Sergio Perez make the biggest impression?

Verstappen was overwhelmingly voted 'GPblog Driver of the Day' in Austria. The Red Bull Racing driver was the fastest driver in all sessions and scored the maximum number of possible points. The Dutchman could even afford to make an extra pit stop at the end of the race in search of the extra World Championship point for the fastest lap. Verstappen received 42.6 per cent of the vote.

No Norris

Lando Norris was perhaps the biggest surprise of the day. The McLarens haven't moved forward this year, but the updates the Briton drove with seemed to be paying off. Norris finished fourth, picking up 12 important points for McLaren. However, he 'only' got just under 30 per cent of your votes.

Charles Leclerc was on the podium for only the second time this year, but the Ferrari driver saw only 1.5 per cent of GPblog readers vote for him. Sergio Perez did slightly better in that respect, but his overtaking race from P15 to the podium earned him no more than 7.4 per cent of votes.
