Marko expects more to come: "Haven't seen the climax of Verstappen"

Dr. Helmut Marko picked up on the talent of fifteen-year-old Max Verstappen in Formula 3 and pulled the young prodigy on his way to Formula 1. In his seventh season, Verstappen won his first F1 title. According to Marko, it won't stop there.
Marko expects great things from Verstappen
The Red Bull Racing advisor expects much more from the Dutchman. Marko is certain that Verstappen is still learning and that he can do even more in the future than he has already shown. In conversation with BBC.com the Austrian waxes lyrical about the brand new world champion. In particular, the last two qualifying sessions in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi demonstrated his exceptional class.
Marko says Verstappen got so much more out of the car on those Saturdays than was thought possible: "And that's why we believe we haven't seen the climax of Max Verstappen. The more he wins, the more relaxed he gets." Marko was correct when he gave Verstappen the chance to test drive for the premier class of motorsport during free practice in Japan in 2014.
Seven years on, the Dutchman has not had to disappoint his team bosses or the advisor; he has even become world champion. Marko concludes: "Fortunately now it's done with the first world championship. I'm sure it's not the last (world championship) and we will work hard to go for the next one." The Austrian promises to work hard to make the next title possible.
