Tsunoda's outbursts over the team radio hurt him and his team

Yuki Tsunoda has had a poor season as a rookie. Besides his poor performance it is clear that the Japanese driver can be rather short-tempered on the radio. Franz Tost thinks that his driver needs to work on this.
During the season, Tsunoda suffered from multiple tantrums over the team radio. This also hurt his team boss. For fans, the team radios were entertaining, but for others, they were not so innocent. Tsunoda himself has already admitted that his anger and tendency to curse are a weakness that he needs to work on. Tost also wants to see improvement.
"I will request him not to do it. He can shout to himself and not switch on the radio. It hurts him, and it hurts the team", the AlphaTauri team boss is quoted as saying on PlanetF1.com.
Drivers are simply full of adrenaline
Tost also understands that sometimes it can be hard for drivers to contain their frustration. He thinks that anger is not always bad and that drivers need to show aggression from time to time if they want to be successful. After all, they are full of adrenaline in a sport like Formula 1. Nevertheless Tsunoda will have to work on his anger next season. Hopefully this will also result in better performances after a mediocre season.
