Nico Rosberg, has said according to Express that he feels sorry for Lewis Hamilton. Despite leaving the Silver Arrows in 2016, the former teammate of Hamilton felt tremendous pain after seeing Hamilton miss out on an eighth World Championship.
Rosberg drove for Mercedes from 2010 to 2016 and fought a bitter title battle with Hamilton between 2014 and 2016. Where the two grew up as friends, the battle became too heated to keep that friendship alive. Rosberg won the world title in 2016 and left Formula One immediately.

Since then, Rosberg has seen his former rival win four more world titles and in 2021 he saw Lewis on his way to his eighth overall. ''I felt incredible pain. I have no ties to Mercedes now, but it's still my family," said the former World Champion.
The German saw his former team confident that the title was in, but things still went wrong in the final few laps. Although Rosberg said earlier that Max Verstappen deserved the title, he doesn't understand the decision of the race committee: "It's a pity that it ended this way with a strange decision of the FIA," Rosberg concluded.
