BBS Motorsport will produce new rims for Formula 1

Formula 1 will run with larger 18-inch wheels starting in 2022. Formula One has announced that the new rims will be produced by BBS Motorsport.
BBS Motorsport as official partner
All teams will drive with the same wheels in 2022. The new wheels will be produced by BBS Motorsport. From this season on, the wheels will again have wheel covers over the rim, this way the air is better directed along the cars. In this way, the cars that follow others will hopefully have less trouble with dirty air.
Formula 1 raced with 13-inch wheels for many years, but these will be scrapped for 2022. Actually, the switch to 18-inch wheels was already planned in 2021, but due to the coronavirus crisis, it has been moved back a year. Formula 2 has been running with the larger wheels since 2020.
