Williams announces date of car launch
- GPblog.com
The last of the ten Formula One teams, Williams announced their launch date on Tuesday. On Tuesday, February 15, the car will be presented with which Alexander Albon and Nicholas Latifi hope to get out of the achetrhoede. Last season, for the first time in four years, the former championship team did not finish last in the championship, but achieved a nice eighth place.
Williams finally back to the front?
From 2018 to 2020, Williams managed to score just eight points in three seasons. Invariably, the team finished tenth and last in the constructors' championship standings. And that's in spite of Williams becoming the constructors' world champion nine times in the past. With the takeover by Dorilton Capital and the accompanying capital injection the team hopes to regain some of its former glory.
George Russell, in particular, showed some fine performances in 2021, but with his departure for Mercedes it remains to be seen whether Albon or Latifi can show similar performances. The FW44 will be presented on the team's website at noon on 15 February.
