Norris doesn't deny Red Bull rumours: 'No point in lying about it'

Lando Norris showed last season at McLaren that he has a high level of performance. Last calendar year there were several rumours that Red Bull Racing were interested in signing him. He does not deny that interest at all.
Red Bull went with Sergio Perez for the first time last year. While the Austrian racing team hoped that the driver could keep up with the level of Max Verstappen, nothing was further from the truth. That's why the team considered replacing Perez after just half a year and held a number of talks, probably including one with Norris.
"There were opportunities," he admitted to The Race. "There’s no point lying about it, there was little things here and there with various other teams but nothing that went far at all."
Norris decided to stay with McLaren
Norris, however, chose differently and let McLaren know that he would like to stay with the team longer. Together with Daniel Ricciardo, he hopes to be able to compete with the top teams and fight for the world title. Last season the team finished fourth in the Constructors' Championship.
