Gasly is ambitious with AlphaTauri: 'It's too early to say'

Pierre Gasly performed excellently last season at AlphaTauri. While his teammate Yuki Tsunoda finished 14th in the rankings, the Frenchman was in ninth position at the end of the season. For 2022, however, Gasly has bigger ambitions, he told Mashup.
Tsunoda's relatively poor performance meant that AlphaTauri had to settle for sixth place in the Constructors' Championship. In doing so, the racing team fell 13 points short of overtaking Alpine, who finished in fifth place. Although Gasly was satisfied with his own performance, the driver hopes that he and his team can make the step up to fifth in 2022.
"Last year we came very close to fifth place among the constructors and it would be super to achieve that this year," he told the interview. "It's too early to say if that will happen, but I will always give my best and get the most out of our car."
AlphaTauri launches the AT03
AlphaTauri brought out the AT03 in mid-February. With the new car, the team hopes to make a big step towards making things difficult for the rest of the midfield. Among other things, the formation chose to take to the track early so that it can collect as much data as possible in the coming weeks to move forward.
