Alpine promise to "climb to the summit" of Formula 1
On Monday evening, Alpine launched their 2022 Formula 1 car. As well, Alpine presented their vision for the future which culminates in climbing to the top of the Formula 1 World Championship. Alpine CEO Laurent Rossi commented his thoughts at the car launch.
In 2021, Alpine not only returned to the podium but won the Hungarian Grand Prix with Esteban Ocon. The race in Hungary was a perfect display of team work as Alonso battled with Lewis Hamilton and kept the Mercedes behind for a signficiant amount of laps to give the French driver enough breathing room at the front.
El Plan
The goal for Alpine is to continue to improve on the results experianced in 2021. Rossi believes he has the right people in his brigade to achieve the desired results.
"We are proud racers and have poured the essence of Alpine’s racing heritage and passion into this new generation of car. We have a clear plan and vision in place at Alpine and we have some of the best people in the business to help drive us forward and realise our ambitions. Our team is stronger now and, we hope, future-proof," Rossi said at the car launch.
"Our driver line-up is the perfect recipe to help deliver the results we want to achieve on track. In 2022, we want to show constant progress with comprehensive developments across all sites to ensure we are contenders for the title in the future. We are going in the right direction and we want to carry on our climb to the summit.”
