- GPblog.com
The Formula 1 season is about to start, but behind the scenes the FIA is already working on the years to come. Due to the growing interest in the motorsport class, many countries are eager to host a Grand Prix in their country. The United States seem ready for a third race in their country.
The GP at COTA has been a great success for many years. This season there is also a race in Miami on the program, so that the North American country is extensively represented on the racing calendar. However, that does not seem to be enough, as a GP in Las Vegas is also to be added in the near future. That is what the Twitter channel Las Vegas Locally tells us.
It would not be the first time that Formula 1 held a race in Las Vegas. In 1981 and 1982 the Formula 1 circus also traveled to the illustrious city to organize a GP. Back then, the winners of the weekend were Michele Alboreto and Alan Jones respectively.
A Formula 1 race is coming to Las Vegas. Expect the announcement soon. #F1
