McLaren will struggle in some races: 'See if we can make progress'

According to Lando Norris, his P7 at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix is a sign that McLaren's performance will vary greatly in the coming races. The team will have to work hard to find their way back to the top.
After a dramatic opening weekend in Bahrain, where Norris and teammate Daniel Ricciardo finished only P14 and P15, things were looking a little better in Jeddah. Norris eventually finished seventh, but unfortunately no double points were secured due to Ricciardo's retirement. The Australian suffered technical problems and therefore could not make it to the finish line.
However, the street circuit in Jeddah is a completely different circuit to Bahrain, so at McLaren, varying results are expected over the next few weeks. "There are going to be many races that we can look forward to, and we can expect good results and stuff like (Jeddah). But there are still a lot more tracks like Bahrain which we’re going to struggle," Norris is quoted by Racer.com.
McLaren will have to work hard
During the test days in Barcelona, McLaren still looked strong, but in Bahrain the team had to deal with problems with the brakes. Still, no one could have seen it coming that McLaren would drop so far down after an intense battle with Ferrari for P3 in 2021. "We’re McLaren and we want more, so we’ll keep working hard and see if we can make more progress,” Norris ends.
