Fine for Vettel after lap of honor at Albert Park on scooter

The penalty for Sebastian Vettel has been announced. The German will be fined 5,000 euros for driving a lap around the Albert Park Circuit on a scooter.
Fine for Vettel
Vettel had to miss the first two races of the season because of a covid infection. On his return to Australia, things did not go well; his engine failed during FP1 and in FP2 he did not compete because the car had not yet been fixed. The start of his 2022 will be even more dramatic now that it has been announced that the Heppenheimer will have to pay a fine of 5,000 euros.
The incident was immediately investigated by the race control. Vettel broke Article 26.7 of the regulations by not returning to the pit lane with a Marshall with the scooter via the designated paths. Instead, after his car came to a halt, the German drove alone around the track. As the Aston Martin driver did not have permission to do so, he will be fined 5,000 euros.
