Alpine comes out with announcement for GP Spain
- GPblog.com
Alpine is hoping to change the course of its somewhat sluggish season start in Spain. According to team boss Otmar Szafnauer, the racing stable is working hard behind the scenes to improve the car, with Alpine taking another step in that process in Barcelona.
The circuit in the Spanish city guarantees many updates every year. Also at Alpine, it is the intention to make some changes to the car of the racing team. It is not only about small updates to the car, but also about a completely new rear wing.
Talking to Motorsport.com, Szafnauer discusses the changes. He states that Alpine will come to Spain with a new rear wing, among other things. This version should work better than the last version that was on the car and is intended for both cars.
Alonso experiences difficult start of season at Alpine
Fernando Alonso in particular seems to be having a tough time this season. The Spaniard only scored two points in the first five races. His teammate Esteban Ocon is much higher in the world championship with 24 points. Possibly the new rear wing will bring a solution for Alonso and Alpine.
