It was once again the 2016 world champion, Nico Rosberg who was to comment on another driver's less than ideal Friday. This time it was the Friday of his former team and teammate Lewis Hamilton.
"Lewis has been having a hard time out there today." said the German, who had been critical of how Hamilton has dealt with the difficulty to drive Mercedes, as the former world champion continues "Lewis lost his way out there. It will be tough for Lewis to come back,"
Although when talking with Sky Sports the 36-year-old wasn't all negative, as he had quite a bit of praise for Hamilton's teammate, George Russell, "We know the Mercedes car is difficult to drive here, but George has stuck with it. He's found this flow, once he finds that rhythm and flow he is making incredible progress. He's in a fight with Lando for best of the rest."
Not exactly ground-breaking analysis here Nico… Of course Lewis is having a rough go of it. He has had some bad luck for sure, but he also seems mentally weak. His defeatist outlook and attitude when things get difficult is staggeringly revealing.
George has stuck with it. He's found this flow, once he finds that rhythm and flow he is making incredible progress. He's in a fight with Lando for best of the rest." I agree, Lewis is still to find the same in the car, last Gp was good but he still is not at the level of comfort Russell is with the car.
A good driver adjusts his skills along with the equipment he is given. that is the mark of a good driver...by lewis own, he is struggling which is a poor sign of a good driver. excuses dont make a driver, only his skills does; mercedes is a good car now, he should be winning races by now and getting totally outclassed by george is not a hallmark of a champion
I agree, Vettle, Kimi,Alonso, Schumacher like Lewis have been outclassed bye the team-mates I guess as you get older the younger athletes will have an advantage . You make a important point mate and I agree with you.
