There are currently many rumors about the future of Pierre Gasly. According to Franz Tost, there is only little reason for speculation about the upcoming season for the Frenchman, because according to the team boss, it is certain that Gasly will drive for AlphaTauri in 2023.

Ever since Sergio Perez received a contract extension through to 2024 at Red Bull Racing, speculation has been swirling about Pierre Gasly in Formula One. Indeed, the Frenchman would love to get a second chance at the top team and measure himself against Max Verstappen again, after his first attempt in 2019 was anything but a success. With Perez's contract extension, that's not in the cards for now.

It is therefore a question of what the Frenchman will do now. Will he stay with AlphaTauri or take a chance with another team? For example, there are rumors that Gasly will make a switch to Aston Martin and even Mercedes.

According to Franz Tost, the team boss of AlphaTauri, there is just no reason to speculate about Gasly's future. The Austrian said at the FIA press conference for team bosses that it is '100 percent certain that Gasly will drive for AlphaTauri in 2023'.

What are the possibilities after 2023?

The Frenchman is also under contract with Red Bull and AlphaTauri until next season. The only question is what the Frenchman will do after that season. After all, he will have to wait at least another year until a seat might become available at Red Bull Racing and if Yuki Tsunoda continues to make strides, the seat might go to the Japanese.

Gasly is also reportedly not exactly loved by the top within Red Bull Racing. The driver is said to have criticized Adrian Newey's work in 2019, making a return to the top team seem like a tall order.
