Max Verstappen has managed to win the Canadian Grand Prix. The Dutchman came under pressure from Carlos Sainz in the final phase, but managed to keep the Spaniard away.
Verstappen was supreme over the race weekend in Canada. In the rain, nobody could match the speed of the Red Bull driver. On Sunday Sainz came closer to Verstappen, but even the help of a safety car was not enough to make it really difficult for Verstappen. Verstappen reacts very satisfied after the race.

"The safety car did not help. I think overall they were very quick in the race it would have been hard to close that gap even on fresher tyres. I was giving it everything I had and he was doing the same. He was pushing and charging. The last few laps was a lot of fun," the Dutchman said to Jenson Button.
''Overall, they were very strong in the race and it would have been hard to overtake. I would have preferred attacking then defending but in the end it worked out," concluded the Grand Prix winner.
