'Spa-Francorchamps at risk of disappearing from the F1 calendar in 2023'

The Belgian Grand Prix might disappear from the Formula 1 calendar in 2023. There is still no contract for renewal after 2022. The circuit could become part of a rotation system with other Grands Prix.
The contract with the Spa-Francorchamps circuit expires this year. With the increasing interest of countries to organise a race in F1, several circuits run the risk of disappearing from the calendar. For weeks now rumour has it that the Belgian Grand Prix is in danger.

On Twitter Formula 1 expert Albert Fabrega reveals that the Spa-Francorchamps circuit may no longer be on the calendar in 2023. The circuit could become part of a rotation system in the future, meaning that a race will not be organised every year.

Spa could not be on 2023 calend and rotate in the future. There has been on the table a proposal to celebrate a non championship race with rookies
There have also been talks about a so-called non-championship race at Spa-Francorchamps in which only rookies will be involved. In the 50s, 60s and 70s these races were organised more often in F1 besides the official Grands Prix.
