Ferrari have work to do: 'Red Bull car comes alive in Austria'

Martin Brundle believes Ferrari have something to make up for this weekend at the Austrian Grand Prix. The British analyst believes Charles Leclerc could have led the championship comfortably if the team had not made so many mistakes.
"Red Bull's car seems to suit this track. Somehow the car comes alive, you’ve got a bit of altitude here. Their engine, when it was Honda, now it’s Red Bull Power Trains, seems to work at altitude quite well. Everything comes together, Max has massive support here as well. He’s won four Grands Prix at this venue. He must start as a favourite this weekend", Brundle says in the preview of Sky Sports.
Yet Brundle also warns that victory at the Red Bull Ring will not come by itself. In Silverstone, Red Bull also seemed to have the fastest car in dry and wet weather, but Verstappen failed to secure pole position in the end. Also in the race, it went wrong after damage to his car.
Ferrari must beat Red Bull in Austria
Ferrari will have to do everything possible to beat Red Bull this weekend. After several strategic errors and reliability issues, the team is trailing in the championship. Brundle believes Leclerc could have been in the lead at the moment if Ferrari had not made so many mistakes.
"They’ve got the pace, particularly Charles Leclerc is flying along. He’s been on pole six times, but they keep losing races due to strategy, unreliability. He could be leading this championship quite comfortably. He's had enough of things not running his way. They will have to get their act together if they want to beat Red Bull."
