Sergio Perez moved into second in the World Championships behind Max Verstappen last weekend. The Mexican of Red Bull Racing has passed Charles Leclerc in the World Cup standings. Perez finished second at Spa, but well behind teammate Verstappen.

A gap of eighteen seconds, knowing that Perez started from second place and Verstappen from fourteenth. So Perez had a lot of homework to do in recent days. "We will analyse everything from Belgium as a Team to see where we can get closer to Max, I want to make sure we can come back stronger," the Mexican said in a press release from his team. "I want to make sure we can come back stronger. I have work to do and want to keep pushing, I think this circuit will pull us all closer together so it’s going to be an exciting weekend."

Brilliant spot

Perez had to start from the middle of the grid last year. During the race, he managed to do some nice overtaking. "It’s great to be back in Zandvoort, it’s a brilliant place. The Dutch fans are amazing for the Team and their support for Max is crazy, it’s great. It’s a good track here, it’s very challenging and we hope to keep the momentum we had in Belgium."
