Helmut Marko says that Max Verstappen and Red Bull Racing's dominance this year marks the first time since the Sebastian Vettel era that the team has been in such good shape. Verstappen may even be able to challenge for the landslide record of thirteen wins in a season, currently shared by Vettel and Michael Schumacher.

Vettel managed thirteen of nineteen victories in 2013. It marked the final year in Red Bull Racing's four-year dominance, which began in 2010. Schumacher won thirteen of the eighteen races in 2004, at the height of Ferrari's dominance.

Verstappen dominance is very satisfying

According to Marko, Verstappen achieving the record would be more satisfying than when Vettel did, because of the level of performance this season. "We haven’t seen dominance like that since then. This time, we have strong opposition," the Red Bull Racing advisor stated according to Motorsportweek.com. "With Vettel, we mainly raced against Ferrari, one year against McLaren but here we race against Ferrari and Mercedes so we are satisfied and we are really proud."

The large lead Verstappen enjoys in the championship takes a lot of pressure off his shoulders, according to Marko. "The good thing is we don’t have to win every race. If we see we can’t win, okay, we go for points," the Austrian said.

Without a DNF it possible Max could win the rest of the races this season. While it may not be likely it certainly isn't unthinkable, such is his dominance this season

Verstappen definitely has to win all the remaining races, and win them with large gaps, this puts doubt in the other driver heads that they know its impossible to win

Depending on the points gap, Max can have this wrapped up by Singapore or Japan.??
