Schumacher has the 'home advantage' for the Haas seat, according to Steiner

Mick Schumacher has the "home advantage" in the battle for the seat at Haas in 2023, according to Guenther Steiner. Still, the pressure is on for the German.
The F1 grid for 2023 is almost complete. Only Haas and Williams have one seat left. At Haas, Kevin Magnussen is already assured of his place for next year, but Schumacher has to hope that his recent performances are good enough to convince the management of a longer stay. According to Steiner, Schumacher does have an advantage.
Advantage for Schumacher
After all, Schumacher is already in the team, giving him the advantage over someone from outside. After all, someone from outside has to get to know the team and the team itself does not know exactly how the driver will fit in. That was also the reason why Steiner called on Kevin Magnussen again in 2022, he reveals to Motorsport.com.
Should Haas still want to bring in a new driver, Nico Hulkenberg seems to be the favourite. Schumacher's compatriot has been without a permanent seat for three years now, but has remained in the picture as a competitive and stable driver thanks to good fill-in performances at Racing Point/Aston Martin. Antonio Giovinazzi is also on Haas' radar.
