Horner enjoys Verstappen's performance: 'He's still learning'

Christian Horner has enjoyed Red Bull Racing's season. Whereas the Austrian racing team had to compete with Mercedes last season, in 2022 no team was able to compete with Red Bull throughout the calendar year.
The team boss, therefore, looks back on the racing year with a satisfied feeling after the final race in Abu Dhabi. "It has been an unbelieveble year. Seventeen victories and two Sprint-wins, drivers championship and constructors' championship," Horner summed up the successes in conversation with Viaplay.
Max Verstappen managed to take victory in Abu Dhabi as he did last season, while Sergio Perez's performance did not take him beyond P3. As a result, Perez has to leave his rival Charles Leclerc ahead in the championship. However, it does not disappoint Horner. "There were ups and downs, but there were a lot more ups than downs," he looks back on the season.
Horner compliments Verstappen for the development
Finally, he has fine words to say for Verstappen. With 15 wins this season, the Dutchman holds a new record. "It's remarkable what he is managed to achieve," concludes Horner, who sees that his development is still ongoing. "He is still learning."
