Max Verstappen finished fourth on behalf of Team Redline in the virtual 500 miles of Sebring. In doing so, the Dutchman just missed out on the podium.
Verstappen and teammates Jeffrey Rietveld and Maximilian Benecke started from the second starting spot after qualifying on Friday. The race lasted four hours and was the second-to-last round in the Virtual Le Mans Series. The virtual 24 Hours of Le Mans will be run in January.
Verstappen crossed the line in fourth place
Verstappen's car went into battle with the two Porsche Coanda cars right at the start of the race. However, Team Redline could not match the pace of the two leading rivals. In the closing stages of the race, the team was also overtaken by Team Petronas Esports, led by James Baldwin, and Team Redline eventually had to make do with fourth place. In the LMP2 championship, Verstappen's team still leads.
