Disadvantage Leclerc at Ferrari: 'I don't think Max and Lewis have that'

Johnny Herbert thinks Charles Leclerc will face more pressure than Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton again next season. According to the former Formula 1 driver, it means that the Monegasque faces the toughest task ahead.
Every year, expectations at Ferrari are high. This season too, Ferrari fans and Italian media expect the formation to compete for the world title, although it remains to be seen how realistic this is with, among others, the newly arrived Frederic Vasseur as team boss.
Herbert is convinced that the high expectations will not help Leclerc's performance. "Just being a Ferrari driver brings pressure which I don’t think Max or Lewis have," Herbert analysed to Total-Motorsport.com the competitive advantage.
Quality of Verstappen and Hamilton
The Brit looks at Verstappen's qualities with admiration. In particular, the directness in his communication would make the Dutchman special. "When a driver starts to say that, it’s surprising how that does change people’s mentality. That’s actually a strength of Max."
However, he knows that the two-time world champion is not the only one who puts a lot of pressure on the team. According to Herbert, Hamilton is also very clear about what he expects. Herbert therefore thinks the trio has a good chance of competing for wins in 2023.
