Red Bull present RB19 in New York: Here's what to expect
- GPblog.com
It is the day many Red Bull fans have been waiting for: the car for the 2023 Formula 1 season will be unveiled. Find out what to expect from Red Bull Racing's RB19, Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez's new car here.
As usual, Formula 1 teams present their cars prior to the official start of the season. The teams each do this in their own way. Some opt for some photos, others share a video and others turn the launch into an event. Whereas Red Bull have often opted for a simple photo or video over the years, this year Christian Horner and his team are doing a big launch.
Red Bull in New York
Indeed, the Red Bull team have flown to New York to present the RB19 on this Friday, February 3. The team said that the new car will be shown, but with just under three weeks to go until the winter test in Bahrain, there is a good chance Adrian Newey's team will make many changes to the design of the car until the car hits the circuit. That is (mostly) not the case for the livery and racesuits, which will also be presented in New York.
Besides the presentation of the car and clothing, rumours are also buzzing about the possible announcement of a new engine partner for 2026. Given the presentation will be held in New York, many eyes are on Ford. Whether this is actually the case will only be revealed on Friday.
Local time, the show starts at 9:00am. That means it will be 2:00 PM in the UK, 3:00 PM in most of mainland Europe. At that time the Red Bull Racing live stream starts. So you can watch the show in its entirety yourself. You can find the livestream, photos, an analysis of the new car, reactions from the drivers and much more on Friday around Red Bull's launch at GPblog.
Update
Red Bull has now announced that only the new livery will be shown. This was applied to an older car. The real car with which Verstappen and Perez will race will be shown at a later time.
