Sainz expects Ferrari to perform well: 'I can't wait'

Carlos Sainz attended the presentation of Ferrari's new car on Tuesday morning. The Spaniard revealed in a press release from the Italian formation that he is expecting a lot from the new season, in which he wants to compete for the world title.
With the SF-23, Ferrari hope to take a clear step forward. Last season, the Italians left an excellent impression during qualifying but often went wrong in the race on Sunday. Sainz hopes this will be different in 2023, allowing Ferrari to compete with Red Bull Racing for wins.
"This car is the result of the passion and hard work of everyone in the team during the past months," stressed Sainz, who enjoyed the unveiling. "It certainly looks like another step forward."
"Our goal cannot be other than to keep pushing forward and trying to bring home more race wins, being competitive and fighting for the World Championships. I can’t wait to hit the track in Bahrain and get this new season going."
Sainz gets confidence from Vasseur
The team will be led by Frederic Vasseur from this season onwards. The new Ferrari team boss stressed on Tuesday that he does not intend to express a preference between Charles Leclerc and Sainz. According to Vasseur, the most important thing is for the team to win.
