Verstappen outspoken about battle with Perez: 'it is fairly simple, right?'

It was once again clear in Jeddah: Red Bull is unbeatable. The Austrian racing stable is simply too fast to keep up with the other teams. If that picture does not change this season, either Max Verstappen or Sergio Perez will win the world championship. How do the two 'rivals' see this situation?
The Red Bulls' race pace was superior in Saudi Arabia. Max Verstappen, who started from P15, was able to battle it out with Sergio Perez for the race victory midway through the race. The other teams did not come close. As Red Bull does not seem to have a direct challenger for the world title, the question looms as to what would happen if Verstappen and Perez were the only two candidates for the world title.
'Verstappen and Perez should be able to fight'
The two-time world champion was clear in his response to L'Equipe at the press conference: "Well, if that's the case, it’s fairly simple, right? We are allowed to race so the best one will finish in front," he said.
'Super news for Red Bull'
The Mexican kept a little more to himself. "it [would] be fantastic news for the team, because that means that we are pretty far ahead, and it comes down to us, so it will mean that we are in a great position."
