Fernando Alonso has been driving Formula 1 for a very long time, albeit with a small break, but his passion for the sport has always remained. In an interview with Bang & Olufsen the Spaniard once again reveals that he still wants to win in F1.

Alonso finally has the material to compete at the front again in Formula 1. His move to Aston Martin like a fairy tale. The team that finished seventh in the championship last year is now suddenly second and that is no fluke. The British team made tremendous progress last winter. In the first three races of the season, Alonso took three podiums in a row, something the double last managed in 2013.

Alonso wants to win

The Spaniard may already be 41, but he still wants to win in Formula 1, although he also last managed to do so in 2013. "The only thing that matters is to win and to break the record of championships. At the moment that is probably unreachable, because of the seven of Michael and seven of Hamilton. But that will be the aim ultimately," said the Aston Martin driver.

Suzuka favourite for Alonso

Several drivers often give Suzuka as an answer when asked what their favourite circuit is. This is also the case with Alonso. Suzuka is a unique circuit and is the only circuit on the calendar to have an eight-figure track as a circuit. "I will pick Suzuka in Japan. I think that’s my favourite one, with a lot of high-speed corners. I like also Monaco, as a weekend in general, because a lot of things happen in that weekend, but Suzuka is my favourite one."
