'Hamilton should leave Mercedes and drive for Ferrari'

For Eddie Jordan, it is clear. Lewis Hamilton should close his Mercedes chapter and drive for Ferrari from next season onwards after the Irishman spoke with TalkSport.
The rumours surrounding the seven-time world champion's future just do not stop. One week he declares his love for Mercedes, and the next, he has no match with his W14. For now, Hamilton has not yet renewed his expiring contract at the German racing stable. According to former team owner Eddie Jordan, the Briton is at a dead end at Mercedes, as he previously was at McLaren. "I was one of the people with Nikki Lauda who helped that happen, and then there was a refreshed, rejuvenated Lewis Hamilton, and we know what he’s done since then. However, I think it’s time he moved on," Jordan said.
'Hamilton should go to Ferrari'
"I think he would like to win his eighth title, but I have a passion in that I think he should go to Ferrari, but that’s just me talking nonsense," the F1 commentator states. Whether it would be a good choice remains to be seen. Like Mercedes, the Italian racing stable is also not in good shape. Led by Fred Vasseur, the team seems to be under construction again, just like Hamilton's current team. Jordan does not care: "If there’s an opportunity to go somewhere, he should go to Ferrari because every great champion should at least have a spell at Ferrari."
