That tickets to the Grand Prix in Miami are expensive is common knowledge, but the price of food at the Grand Prix is bizarre. For a simple salad, you can easily put down $250 and even a sandwich with 'wagyu' meat is not too richly topped.
Formula 1 fans who attended the Grand Prix in Miami probably got a bit of a shock when they wanted to order some food. Fox Sports got its hands on a price list and the prices are certainly not cheap.
Sky-high prices
Chilled prawns with mustard and cocktail sauce sold for a whopping $500. Lobster rolls with aioli, truffle, bread and potatoes cost $450. And if you fancy a bit of fruit, that will cost you $295. A simple salad of watermelon, tomatillo, arugula, goat cheese, mint and blood orange dressing costs $250.
As icing on the cake, Twitter showed what you get for a $42 sandwich with 'wagyu' meat.
