Verstappen on Mercedes approaching: 'We'll find out'
Max Verstappen was once again by far the best of the field at the Spanish Grand Prix. Behind the Dutchman, the two Mercedes of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton dominated. Verstappen looks back on Mercedes' race in a press conference attended by GPblog.
"I think they had a very strong race, to be honest. I think they're improving. But, you know, from our side, it's not about being worried. You know, we just have to focus on ourselves and trying to keep on improving the car. I mean, of course, at the moment, it all looks great, but you can't stand still in this world."
Verstappen still leading
The Red Bull driver's wise words may perhaps paint a false picture of the world championship standings. Verstappen is still richly in the lead in the standings with 170 points. Hamilton has to make do with 87 points and Russell with 65.
For now, the Dutchman is not worried about the Mercedes. "We'll see what happens in the coming races. I don't know if there are going to be tracks that are better or worse. We'll find out."
