Hamilton: 'I want to be where Verstappen is, I want to race with him'
Lewis Hamilton finished second at the Spanish Grand Prix. It had now been a while since the British driver finished so "close" to former title rival Max Verstappen, and the Mercedes driver explained that he would love to race with the Dutchman again, with Hamilton also being very complimentary about his team. He revealed this in a press event where GPblog was also present.
"I have a great great team around me, both off and on track. Great things are happening with Mission44, I have got a great team in London working on that, and we're starting to see an impact. I have got a great team of engineers here.", said the 38-year-old driver.
Hamilton wants to race with Verstappen
Verstappen and Hamilton were back on the podium together "old-fashionedly" after the last race at Catalunya. Hamilton says he would like to race with the Dutchman, but that it will be tough.
"I feel fit and healthy, and I think that was a solid race for me and I think I want to keep going for as long as I can. I want to be where he [Max] is, or racing him at least. Super focused on getting to that point, but there's a long way to go."
