Hulkenberg happy: 'Would like us to take points in qualifying'
Surely it was the story of qualifying in Canada, Nico Hulkenberg in second place. The German drove himself to second place in the nick of time, but unfortunately for him, it was not enough. The Haas driver received a grid penalty of three spots, but the German driver looks back on a good qualifying session.
"It's a fantastic quali result for us. I only wish we would get points in quali but we don't," told the German who did not yet know he may start from 'only' P5 on Sunday.
Hulkenberg thinks about defending
Hulkenberg has only scored six points so far this season in his Haas. Therefore, he could ensure a lot more points in the constructors' championship next Sunday. Whether that will happen remains to be seen. Hulkenberg already looks ahead to the race.
"I know tomorrow is going to be a hard day especially if it's a dry race. We'll face a lot of heat from the back but let's see what happens tomorrow. We have a good starting position and we'll just approach the race openly and do what we can," the 35-year-old driver says.
