Marko thinks Norris fits at Red Bull: 'Good friends with Verstappen'
- Sam Godber
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko would love to see Lando Norris driving a Red Bull car. The 80-year-old Red Bull advisor would love to see the English driver drive alongside Max Verstappen. It is already known that Verstappen and Norris are great friends off the track.
"He has a contract at McLaren until 2025 but is by far the strongest of the young drivers. He would also suit Red Bull best because of his youthful character." Negotiations and intensive talks have already taken place and contact is still being maintained. " And it is no secret that Max and he are good friends," reports Marko at Kleine Zeitung.
Norris at Red Bull?
Norris, who still overtook Verstappen at the British Grand Prix, still finished second on the podium behind the Dutchman. The two Formula 1 drivers often drive together on the sim while streaming. This can sometimes make for hilarious moments between the two relatively young drivers.
Should Norris get the Formula 1 seat at Red Bull Racing, it means that Sergio Perez will no longer be able to continue racing in the Red Bull car. It would also mean that Red Bull reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo would not yet be able to take a seat behind the wheel.
