Not only Formula One fans saw an advance by McLaren during the weekend of the British Grand Prix compared to other weekends, but colleagues also saw it happen. Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff and Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton consider the performance of customer team McLaren impressive.

Mercedes praise McLaren car

The Mercedes team boss was full of praise for the car of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. "McLaren had the better car. With the hard tyre, to hold us off with the soft. Straight line speed.
