McLaren of Raikkonen and Andretti's championship winning car for sale

Not only is Michael Schumacher's F1 car up for sale, a car Kimi Raikkonen drove is also about to change hands. Auction house Bonhams will auction in Abu Dhabi the McLaren in which the Finn drove Grands Prix in the first half of 2006. The car in which Mario Andretti became champion is also up for sale.
This car is part of F1 history. Indeed, with this particular car, Raikkonen also competed in the Monaco Grand Prix. However, he did not make it to the finish line. Halfway through the race, the Finn dropped out. Instead of returning to his team in the paddock, Raikkonen decided to walk straight to his yacht in the port of Monte Carlo. From his boat, the one-time world champion followed the rest of the Grand Prix.
McLaren 2006 not very successful
In the 2006 season, Raikkonen did not manage to win a Grand Prix, although he did make six podium appearances. So the MP4/21 was not a resounding success, but the auction house still expects the car to find a new owner for a substantial sum. During the so-called On the grid-sale in Abu Dhabi next November, the McLaren should fetch between $2.5 million and $3.5 million.
Incidentally, this is not the only F1 car to be offered for sale during this special auction. The Lotus with which Mario Andretti became world champion in 1978 is also up for purchase. A selling price of between $6.5 million and $9.5 million is expected for this car.
