Revealed: This is the trophy up for grabs at the Dutch Grand Prix
The organisers of the DutchGP have engaged Studio Piet Boon to design the trophies for the 2023 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort. The design agency published the first images a few days before the Dutch Grand Prix.
The trophies for the winner and podium finishers are predominantly white. Each trophy contains a lion, each in a different colour: gold (P1), orange (P2) and blue (P3). The base of the trophies features the numbers 1, 2 and 3.
Studio Piet Boon explain on their own website: "Over the years, motor racing has carved out a prominent place in Dutch culture, symbolizing national pride. In homage to this, the Royal Coat of Arms of the Netherlands is prominently incorporated into the trophy’s design. Adding to its uniqueness, the trophy is crafted from ceramic. In collaboration with Royal Delft, masters of Delft blue since 1653, the trophy has found its ideal artisans."
