Former Formula 1 driver Sebastian Vettel is back in the paddock next race weekend. Not to take part in the race, but to showcase his new project 'Buzzin' Corner'. Vettel's commitment to the climate is well known, and at Suzuka he is also bringing this to the attention with an interesting project.

On a live video, four-time world champion Vettel announces what Buzzin' Corner entails. For example, the kerbstones at turn two will be coloured yellow and black this weekend: "And that’s unique because all the other kerbs, for example, at the entrance of the corner are painted in white and in red. So that’s very different". With this project, Vettel wants to create awareness around biodiversity and its importance.

Vettel also installs insect hotels at Suzuka

A number of insect hotels can also be found on the indoor field next to the second corner. These houses have been handmade by Vettel and his team and will be visited by all drivers on the Thursday leading up to the Grand Prix. "WWe sort of used the bee as our ambassador, and she will help us to hopefully, you know, stress this very powerful message," he said. "There just at the inside of Turn 2 you see the huts. It’s sort of a little village, they look similar to a Japanese shrine," Vettel said.
