Perez praises special characteristic of Verstappen: 'That's what I admire about him'

Red Bull Racing driver Sergio Perez had a difficult weekend at the Suzuka Circuit. While teammate Max Verstappen just about single-handedly clinched the constructors' championship, Perez even crashed out twice at the Japanese Grand Prix. He himself also sees differences between Verstappen and him.
"Verstappen can adapt very quickly," the Red Bull driver told De Limburger ahead of the weekend in Japan. "I have a bit more difficulty with that. As a result, he managed to get more out of the car and also to do it every weekend. That's something I admire about him anyway," Perez said.

"Max always and everywhere performs at the top of his game and is always 100 per cent. That is what I find most special about him. In addition, he is a hard worker who understands very well why he is successful," the Mexican driver from Guadalajara continued. " If there is a setback, he also knows immediately what it is because of," he concludes.
Perez's contract in Formula 1 runs until the end of 2024 at Red Bull Racing. So after next season, the Red Bull team will have three open spots out of four (including AlphaTauri). Earlier, Helmut Marko spoke about Liam Lawson's future at the Austrian racing stable.
