Charles Leclerc is a supporter of AS Monaco. The Ferrari driver was born in Monaco, so his football loyalties come as no surprise. He even gets to race around his home during the Monaco Grand Prix, which is on the Formula 1 calendar every year.
Leclerc and AS Monaco
AS Monaco's home stadium is around a 20-minute walk from the start/finish line to the Monaco Grand Prix. Leclerc is often busy flying around the world during the F1 season, but he has visited the stadium in recent years. He even got a shirt with his own name on the back.
Although they're not in France, AS Monaco are members of the French Football Federation and compete in Ligue 1. They have won the league eight times, last doing so in 2017. Therefore, they have competed in the Champions League on numerous occasions. They even got to the final in 2004, losing 3-0 to Porto.
The club and the F1 driver have a close relationship. For example, when Leclerc won his first Formula 1 race in September 2019, the club posted an article on their own website sending their congratulations.
