In a thrilling Sprint Shootout, it was Verstappen who prevailed in his RB19. The three-time world champion only narrowly held off Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. The two ruffians from Ferrari and Mercedes respectively were less than a tenth short of Verstappen. Lando Norris is next to his compatriot on the second row of the grid.
The biggest struggle was for George Russell, who has to start from 11th due to a grid penalty. It had already not been a happy session for the Briton, who had only made it to eighth place at all. Sergio Perez also has to start another catch-up race from P7.
