Lewis Hamilton has not recorded a win in Formula 1 for almost two years. No less than 103 victories the Briton has captured in Formula 1, so it has been quite a while before number 104 follows. His fans, and not least Hamilton himself, are convinced that the wait will soon come to an end. Indeed, the seven-time world champion has his own plans for this weekend.

Although Mercedes did manage to win the 2022 Brazilian Grand Prix, Hamilton also expects Red Bull Racing to call the shots at Interlagos. He told Sky Sports: "I expect the Red Bull to be very fast, as always. It seems to work pretty much everywhere, except for Singapore," said Hamilton, who is also expecting a lot from Ferrari. And, of course, his own team certainly holds Hamilton in high regard.

Hamilton does not want to be empty-handed

He said, "I anticipate the Red Bull's going to blitz it because the car has been great, but if that's not the case, then I'll be ready to take the fight to them. If it can be anything like Austin, and we can get the strategy better, then that would be incredible."

So Hamilton still stands on zero wins this season, just as he was not on the very top of the podium a year ago. The Briton is, however, in full battle with Sergio Perez for second place in the drivers' championship. Although he doesn't just want to take that spot away from the Red Bull driver, he wants to win one of the concluding races this season. "I came away empty-handed last year, so I don't plan on that this year," Hamilton said combatively.
