AlphaTauri's team has been a lot stronger over the past few races than the rest of the season. At first, it was pretty difficult for the Italian team to score points, but now it is much easier: in fact, more points have been scored over the past three Grand Prix weekends than the rest of the season. Italian medium Formu1a.uno suggest why AlphaTauri are suddenly so much faster. It also reports that another upgrade will follow in 2023 for the Faenza-based team.

AlphaTauri a lot more competitive

In Singapore, Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda's team came up with an upgrade package that seems to be working very well. Since the Grand Prix on the streets of Singapore, the team scored 18 points, compared to just three in all races before that. This has taken AlphaTauri from a hopeless last spot in the championship to eighth and even in contention for P7 with Williams.

AlphaTauri copied Red Bull Racing

According to the Italian medium, the progression is mainly due to copying the rear suspension of Red Bull's RB19. Earlier this season, the AT04 still featured the RB18's rear suspension. In Singapore, the AT04's rear suspension was not only addressed, but they also came with a new floor and sidepods.

Another update for AlphaTauri

The AlphaTauri team has already brought a lot of upgrades to the track this season, and where other teams have stopped doing so at the end of the season, the Italian team continues for a while. Another upgrade to the AT04 will follow in Abu Dhabi, laying the foundations for the 2024 car.
