Toto Wolff vows to "give it our best shot" in beating Verstappen

2024 is going to be Lewis Hamilton's last year at Mercedes. At the team, he has had plenty of success. He became world champion six times, for instance, and the team managed to win the constructors' title eight times in the Hamilton era. Many memories for team boss Toto Wolff, who looks ahead to the upcoming last season with Hamilton.
The Austrian is realistic about the upcoming season: "We have 2024 together [with Lewis] and we want to make it the most successful we can. Is it realistic that we are competing for the World Championship against Max in a Red Bull? If I'm looking at the probability, the odds are against us, but nevertheless we will give it our best shot," he said in the Mercedes press conference.
How will it go without Hamilton?
Hamilton joined the Mercedes team in 2013 after making the switch from McLaren. Toto Wolff took over from Ross Brawn at the end of that year. So the two have been working together for over a decade. Will it be difficult for Wolff to do this job without Hamilton? "We will be giving it everything we have to win the Drivers’ and Constructors’ Championships in the years to come. We will be doing this in the same way we want to win it in 2024, but in the future, it may be with another driver," Wolff said.
