Ricciardo comes out with remarkable 'realistic result' for VCARB in 2024

Daniel Ricciardo has high hopes for the upcoming F1 season with Visa Cash App RB. The Australian sees a chance of finishing fifth among constructors and even hopes to do a 'Shoey' again.
It has been a while since Ricciardo has been able to celebrate on the podium. As a Red Bull Racing driver, the Australian regularly stood on the podium and won seven Grands Prix. After that, things got a lot sparser. At Renault, he was on the podium a few times before winning one more race with McLaren.
Why Ricciardo is excited again
Ricciardo will start a full F1 season again in 2024 after being sidelined in early 2023. Halfway through the year, he replaced Nyck de Vries at AlphaTauri, but a broken bone sidelined him again. In 2024, Ricciardo wants to shine again and is even secretly looking at the podium.
"You obviously have to aim high, right? But obviously being in this sport so long, you also want to remain a little bit realistic because you don't want to end up ultimately disappointed. But I would say top fives should certainly be a target. Then if we get into that position, then maybe some podiums present themselves. Of course, we want to win, but I think we made steps last year. Let's make a few more steps," said the VCARB driver in a conversation with Formula1.com.
