With Adrian Newey being a free agent, the question is where will the British designer will continue his career if he doesn't retire? Ferrari seem to be the main candidates to bring in Newey, where he could - finally - work with Lewis Hamilton. As recently as Thursday, the most successful F1 driver of all time said that Newey would be hugely interested in joining Ferrari. However, Aston Martin are also said to be trying to lure Newey in.

It is no secret that owner Lawrence Stroll is hugely ambitious. He has already built a state-of-the-art factory at Silverstone, has a top driver in the ranks with Fernando Alonso and reportedly has a bag of money ready to contract Newey. The designer's advantage over a move to Ferrari would be that he could continue to work in his own country. Yet there are also rumours that Newey has now turned down an offer from Aston Martin.

Stroll reacts uninterested

In any case, Lance Stroll doesn't appear interested on whether Newey will potentially join his team or not. In his familiar manner, the Canadian responded to a question at the press conference ahead of the Miami Grand Prix. "With what your dad has in mind for the team. Can you share it with us? Is Adrian part of that story?" was the question.

Stroll responded with: "I guess time will tell. Lewis already said that one," after which the subject was closed for the 25-year-old driver.
