Ford sees no problems for the arrival of General Motors and Andretti in F1

Andretti and its partner General Motors will not be admitted to Formula One for the time being. The FIA had approved the US team's proposal to be admitted to Formula One, but then Formula One management rejected the team for the time being anyway. Some teams have also said that they do not see Andretti joining but there is one future engine supplier that wants to compete with General Motors.
The engine supplier would enter Formula 1 under the Cadillac brand name. For now, this will not happen, but Ford's global director, Mark Rushbrook, has revealed that he is open to the American engine supplier's entry.
Ford hopes for the arrival of General Motors and Andretti
He told The Associated Press: "We go racing to compete against other manufacturers, and there’s already a lot of manufacturers in Formula 1, but we’d certainly love to welcome General Motors into the sport."
Rushbrook continued: "They have that ability to come in as a power unit manufacturer independent of any specific team, they could partner with any of the existing 10 teams. So we welcome them, for sure. And same for Andretti. We certainly don’t have anything against Andretti.”
Following these statements, Rushbrook could count on a thank you on social media from General Motors president Mark Reuss. In addition, the president of the potential new supplier told that he hopes to welcome Ford to the IndyCar soon. Ford will join Formula 1 in 2026 by working with Red Bull Racing on the Red Bull Powertrains project. So the team would like to compete with General Motors, in combination with Andretti.
