The Ferrari team secured their second win of the season in Monaco. Adding to that, the team is now very close to Red Bull Racing in the constructors' championship. Nevertheless, Frederic Vasseur stresses that the team should not be too fast now.

Charles Leclerc predicted at the start of the 2024 season that it was going to be a development battle this season. Now that McLaren and Ferrari have brought good updates, it looks like they could start attacking Red Bull Racing consistently.

Ferrari have yet to clinch the championship

Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur stresses that vigilance is needed because of this and progress must continue to be made. "If you start thinking you are in top form... then that's the beginninng of the end," Vasseur told the Italian branch of Motorsport.com, among others, in Monaco .

The F1 season is still long and competitors will undoubtedly come up with updates. So the Ferrari team principal is certainly not counting himself rich just yet. "It means we have to keep the same approach and continuously improve, department after department, in every area, including the drivers, including the pit wall, including everything, because even if you do a good job, you still have to do better the week after. If you start convincing yourself that what you are doing is enough, that is the beginning of the end," said Vasseur.
